Effects of wintery and summery planting times on yield and yield characteristics of aspire (Carthamus tinctorius L.) plants in erzurum ecological conditions

Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the effect of winter and summer sowing times on the yield and yield componentes of aspire (Carthamus tinctorius L.) under ecological conditions of Erzurum. In the research, 6 sowing time, 3 autumns (greening "16 October, "germination stage" 1 November", frost "13 November) and three summer, (Normal October 24 April and late October 24 May) were tested in 3 types of aspire (Balcı, Dinçer and Remzibey-05). Variance of analyzes were carried out over the four sowing times since there were no emergence and greening the planting of the late autumn in the spring. The trial was designed as Random Blocks including Split Parcels with three replications. In the study, the phenological, morphological characteristics, yield components and yields of the cultivars were investigated based on the planting time. According to the obtained results, the effect of sowing time on emergence and growing time, plant height, number of plate and diameter, 1000 grain weight, crude protein ratio, green grain, crude oil and crude protein yields were significant, while it was not but not significant on first branch height, number of branches and crude oil In the frost planting time the number of plates (18.1 in number), grain (222,2 kg/da) and oil yield (48,5 kg/da), plant height in early planting (77,8 cm), first branch height (35,9 cm) table diameter (2.1 cm), protein ratio (21,3%) and protein yield (41,82 kg/da). On the other hand, crude oil ratio (27,2%) from normal sowing time and the thousand grain weight (48.3 g) from late planting were higher than that of all sowing times. Among the varieties, significant differences were found with respect to all of the properties except for the first branch height, branch number, plate number, crude oil and protein ratios. Compared to the varieties with each other the first branch height (34,9 cm) and branch number (6.8) in the Balcı variety, the table diameter (13,9 cm) and the fat ratio (25,8%) in the Remzibey variety and the plant height (75,8 cm), table diameter (1,9 cm), thousand grain weight (46,4 g), protein ratio (18,2%), grain (163,66 kg/da) ) and crude protein yield (30.85 kg/da) in the Dinçer variety were found higher than that of the others. Consequently, frost planting in the winter and early spring sowing in summer planting times were recommended based on the result of one year study in Erzurum conditions. In addition, considering grain yield per decare, crude oil, and crude protein yields, according to sowing times and varieties, in Erzurum conditions Dinçer variety can be recommended as frost planting in fall.
