Abstract (EN)
Joke is a literary genre that lives and is kept alive in the tradition of oral culture. The types in the texts of the jokes are the reflection of the cultural values of the societies and the elements of the collective unconscious. The performance of the jokes and the richness of the joke types in Erzurum, which is the limitation of our research, show the value of this literary genre for the people of the city. In this study named Erzurum Jokes and Joke Types, jokes and joke types that took place in Erzurum culture were examined. A literature review was conducted in order to identify Erzurum jokes. Joke texts were examined in the context of functional folklore method and humor theories. Based on all these data, Erzurum joke types are handled according to Dursun Yıldırım's joke type classification. Types that do not comply with Yıldırım's classification were evaluated under the title of anonymous types and passive types. Within the scope of the benefits of the digital age, Erzurum jokes in digital media were also examined. The narrative and narrator dimensions are handled with the dimension of change in line with the returns of the age, based on the principle of sustainability. In the first part of the study, general information about Erzurum province was given, and the tradition of joke was emphasized. In the second part of the study, the concepts of laughter and humor were examined. In the third part, general information about the type of joke is given. In the fourth part of the study, Erzurum jokes were examined according to function, type, content and humor theories.
