Abstract (EN)
The objective of the present study is twofold: firstly, to ascertain the levels of organisational silence among teachers working in Erzurum province; and secondly, to examine whether these levels differ in relation to demographic variables. The organisational silence scale was used as the data collection tool in the study. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach based on a survey model. The sample of the study consisted of 505 teachers working in different disciplines and levels in Erzurum. The data were analysed in relation to demographic variables such as gender, age, professional seniority, and school type. The analysis of the data was conducted utilising a range of statistical techniques, including Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis, and Hierarchical Clustering analysis. The findings indicated that teachers' levels of organisational silence exhibited significant disparities according to specific demographic variables. The study concluded that school administrators creating an open and supportive communication environment where teachers can freely express their thoughts could be effective in reducing organisational silence. In light of the findings, a series of recommendations were formulated, encompassing the cultivation of leadership competencies among managerial personnel, the provision of psychological support to educational professionals, the enhancement of school environments, the implementation of strategies aimed at addressing silence profiles, and the establishment of feedback mechanisms.
