Özet (EN)
Erzurum is known as a commercial city due to ıts location. It has been a city that has been directly affected by political and economic problem sın Turkey. It was affected by country's economy because of the first world war, 1929 Buhrani and the second world war. Turkey started a multi-party system with the esrablishment of the Democratic Party in 1946. As of 1950, with the Democratic Party's transition to power, a new era began in Turkey. The new power established new political, economic and social policies. Erzurum was one of the cities positively affected by these policies. In our thesis, It has been tried to shed light on the affects of the liberal economy that developed with the coming to power of the Democratic Party on Erzurum, based on the archieve decoments of the period and especially the perliamentary minutes of Erzurum Chamber Of Commerce and Industry.
