Abstract (EN)
rv ABSTRACT This dissertation; "Investigating Synonyms In Teaching Arabic" inculudes an introduction, two chapters, conclusion and an appendix. In the introductory part, the importance of the subject, its aim and scope are presented. In chapter one, the synonymy in Arabic and other languages are examined and in this context, the synonymy in Arabic and other languages are defined and studied. Both the modern and ancient viwes of the philologists concerning the topic are also evaluated. At the end of the chapter, synonymys which are more frequently used in Arabic are cited. m chapter two, the role of synonymy in studying the Arabic Language is discussed. Furthermore, the teaching of synonymous words found in the course books such as; " el-'Arabiyya Beyne Yadayk" "el-'Arabiyya li'1-Nasheen", "el- 'Arabiyya li'1-Hayat", "el-'Arabiyyatu'l-Mu'asira", and "el-Qira'atu'1-Muyessera" are scrutinized in detail. At the end of the chapter the synonyms used in the exercises of the above- mentioned text books are listed. Evaluation, commentry and final remarks are presented in the conclusion part. Finally, at the appendix, the most conventional synonyms used widely by the Arab philolgists are also displayed.
