Abstract (EN)
In this study, fragrance which used in the softening were encapsulated by melamine urea formaldehyde resins. Yield, the sizes, wall thicknesses and retention time on the different fabrics of the microcapsules and their stability at room temperature were investigated. Melamine urea formaldehyde (MUF), the main component of the capsule shell, was synthesized at a ratio of 1/2,5-3,5/4-5 (mol/mol/mol), at pH= 6,5-10 at a temperature of 90 oC, and at 150 minutes of reaction time. The optimum stable conditions of microspheres of a industrial using fragrance was determined by using four different emulsifying agents. Emulsion mixture, MF resins and acrylic acid acrylamide copolymer were mixed in a fixed time, pH and temperature in order to obtain microns size microcapsules. The obtained capsules were fixed on cotton and polyester fabric and their stability was examined. Synthesized MUF resins were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, microcapsule size and stability of emulsified droplets were checked by optical microscope, size and wall thickness of the capsules were determined by scanning electron microscope and thermal stability of the capsules wall materials was examined by thermal gravimetric analysis. The obtained yield of the capsules is 70-78%, capsule wall size is between 195 nm-3,0 µm and active substance loss at 20 °C in the microcapsules is between 0,6-3,7 % for 60 days. After 9 washing cycle in the home washing machine, microcapsules were still in the fabrics were found.
