Abstract (EN)

Although the primary use of textiles is to protect people from environmental impacts, textile products today have an important place in medicine. In recent years, with the development of textile technologies and increasing interdisciplinary studies, it has been possible to design advanced products such as wound dressing, artificial organs and use them in the body by going out of traditional medical textile materials such as bandages. These medical textile products are produced with natural polymers suitable for the region where they will be used, and products with both cytotoxicity and low productability have been developed. Seborrheic Dermatitis (SD), which can affect three percent of the population, is seen in the first three months of infants. Infant is known as seborrheic dermatitis, or as a general cradle cap, is defined as oily, yellow scaly areas on the scalp. The main objective in the treatment of SD is to suppress lesions and fungal colonization and to take measures against secondary infections. For this purpose, rosehip and coconut oil were encapsulated with ethyl cellulose 1:10 (core:shell) (w/w) by simple coacervation method and applied to the textile material by casting method with three percent chitosan solution. The effectiveness of thermal and microwave fixation was also investigated within the scope of the study. The aim is to use textile surface as the bone / cap in the treatment of infants
