Abstract (EN)

Ash'arism is one of the sects that operate in Islamic thought, build their teaching on solid principles of faith, and produce solutions to religious and political problems with their own unique method. It can be said that it emerged as a counter-argument to the Muʻtazila sect. While the founder of the sect, Abu'l-Hasan al-Ashārī, was still alive, his ideas were discussed, introduced and found supporters in Muslim countries. There is a strong bond between Imam Ash'ari and Ash'ariism. The intellectual development of Ashariism occurred later. Ash'arism became the official sect in certain periods. Works belonging to Ash'arism, which has a wide literature, have been included in the curriculum of madrasahs in the Islamic geography, and thus it has survived to the present day. The most important feature of the Ash'ariyya sect is that it sees faith as merely confirmation and does not require confession through deeds and tongue. While discussing issues related to faith, it took the Quran and the Sunnah as its main sources, referred to the opinions of the Companions and Tabiun, and included the ideas of the Ahl al-Hadith. By giving priority to the text for proving theological issues, it put the mind at the service of the text, and used the mind effectively while taking the text as a basis. It says that the mind is only a means for us to understand the source and nature of revelation. The reason why he expressed some opinions on matters related to faith is to reach the truth and strengthen faith with convenient methods, reject wrong ideas of the people of bid'ah who have gone astray, and show what needs to be known with correct knowledge about Allah and the universe. AlAshārī says that the people he refers to as heretics are members of Muʻtazila and explains in his works why they are people of heresy in the form of articles. He preferred to rely on the text in complex issues such as the khabari adjectives and the subject of ru'yetullah. One can clearly see his views on faith in his own work "El-İbâne ʻan Usûli'd-Diyane". VII The scholars of Bakillani and Ash'ariyya, who followed Ash'ari's path and interpreted his ideas, did not deviate from Imam Ash'ari's essential doctrine, whom they called their Imam, even though they expressed different thoughts from time to time. They sought to mature Ash'ariism through the line of Ahl al-Sunnah. Imam Ash'ari wrote works against the sects of kalam, cedel and bidah, and some of these works have survived to this day. In this study titled "Ash'arism and How It Emerged", Imam Ash'ari, emergence and development of Ash'ariism, Ash'ariyya sect's views on belief, and the issues of mind, text, names and attributes are presented in the first part. In the Second Part, the content and
