Abstract (EN)

This study prepared as a master's thesis, is based upon the written piece Totenbuch, Book of the Deaths, which is recorded to the British Museum, Or. with the number 8212, as a collection of Sir A. Stein. The piece was worked on and published as "Ein Uighurisches Totenbuch" by P. Zieme and G. Kara in 1978. The content of the current study is the translation of the transcript of the written piece by P. Zieme and G. Kara into the Turkish language and the language analysis of the Totenbuch. The study consists of five main parts. 1. In the introduction section, Old Uyghurs, Old Uyghur Turkish, and Literature, the characteristics of the work that is the subject of the study and the method followed in the study are included. 2. In the Text and Translation section, the transcription text by P. Zieme and G. Kara and the below-the-line translation of the text into Turkiye Turkish are included. 3. In the Stylistics section, suffixes have been classified based on Gürer Gülsevin's article titled "Unusual Suffixes and Classification of Suffixes". 4. In the "Sentence Information" section, word groups, sentence elements, and sentence types are included. 5. Study is concluded.
