Abstract (EN)
Suicide is an action that preserves its presence with various approaches throughout history. In this thesis, the traces of suicide in the Hellenic and Rome tradition were determined and the political, cultural and social connections of the life and death relationship of the period were tried to be understood. The purpose of this thesis is to understand the perception of the reality of life and death, which is common to every person through the phenomenon of suicide in the Ancient Era, and to reveal the social, political or cultural reasons that lead people to commit suicide.
