Abstract (EN)
In this study we examined "The Anthropomorphic Vessels of Ancient Anatolia". Because overcoming some deficiencies related to this topic which we have noticed during our researches on prehistoric culture will make new contributions to our field and also reveal the international linkages in this field. In other words, it will emphasize the importance of the cultural flow between the nations and accordingly will contribute to the global integrity of this field. In our study anthropomorphic vessels unearthed in Anatolian geography were presented by splitting up them into groups according to their geographical regions, and the chronological typology of the anthropomorphism, and figuration and adornment in those vessels found in Anatolia was set up by us. Besides that, the anthropomorphic vessels found both in Anatolia and outside of the Anatolian geography were examined in general, and some of the vessels belonging to the regions and cultures outside of Anatolia were handled for the purpose of comparison. These vessels were studied also with respect to their functions and visual representations. In this study, the cultural similarities between the countries were highlighted and they were presented in a table. Anthropomorphic vessels found both in Anatolia and in the geographical regions and cultures outside of Anatolia were examined within the context of their findspots and according to their chronology, and also the cultural linkages were evaluated on national and international basis. Additionally, in our study we tried to make a new interpretation for the possible expressions in the cuneiform scripts related with the above mentioned vessels. Keywords: Anthropomorphic, human face and human body shaped.
