Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the comfort zone orientations of physical education teachers working in the central and district areas of Eskişehir during the 2024-2025 academic year. The research group consists of 214 voluntary participants, including 106 males and 108 females, working across Eskişehir. A descriptive survey method was used in the study. As data collection tools, a personal information form and the "Comfort Zone Orientation Scale (CZOS)" developed by Kiknadze and Leary (2021) and adapted into Turkish by Köse, A., and Uzun, M. (2024) were employed. Examination of the data indicated a normal distribution, and statistical analyses were conducted using the Jamovi statistical software package. Independent samples t-test and One Way ANOVA tests were utilized in the analyses. The significance level was set at p ≤ 0.05. According to the findings of the study, no significant differences were found in terms of marital status, monthly income level, graduated department, years of professional experience, school status, school of assignment, administrative duty status, development level of the district, or home-school commuting time. In contrast, significant differences were observed when comparing gender, education level, and type of appointment. These results indicate that the comfort zone orientations of physical education teachers should be considered in their professional development processes.
