The fact that international tourism revenues exceed 1 trillion dollars in the world and exceed 23 billion dollars in Turkey reveals the economic dimension of the tourism sector. In the world, those countries where numbers of tourists and income from tourism is greatest give as much importance to the development of domestic tourism as to international tourism.
