Molecular characterization of pets in parks and gardens in Eskişehir province

Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in 25 different parks located in the Odunpazarı and Tepebaşı districts of the Eskişehir province in 2020. The pests identified in the study belong to a total of 6 families, including 3 families (Miridae, Psyllidae, Aphididae) in the order Hemiptera, 1 family (Thripidae) in the order Thysanoptera and 1 family (Chrysomelidae) in the order Coleoptera. The species identified in this study include: Pantilius tunicatus, Lygus pratensis, Psyllopsis fraxini, Myzus persicae, Aphis craccivora, Aphis fabae, Aphis nerii and Melosoma populi. For the fauna of the Eskişehir province, 3 new species belonging to 3 genera were identified. The DNA barcodes and nucleotide positions of the species detected in this study are provided. Additionally, information about their distribution in Turkey and the world, their hosts and gathering places are also given.
