The analized of at-Tayyib salih's roman "Mevsimu'l-Hicra ila'ş-Şamal"

In Sudan, which declared its independence in 1956 after liberation from British colonialism, a social, economic and cultural return to origin began to emerge since then, which also caused important developments in every area of the country. Tayeb Salih, who was accepted as one of the most prominent writers of the 20th century of Sudan and was named as the "Genius of Arabic Novel", has made great contributions to the development and advancement of literature in the state. He has moved Sudanese novel from locality to universality with his "Mawsim al-Hijra ila al-Shamal" in which he studies and examines the East-West (colonized-colonizer) conflict over the Sudan, a third world country. Even though the author's other works present unique artistic and literary aspects, "Mawsim al-Hijra ila al-Shamal" has attracted very large number of readers and is considered as one of the best hundred novels ever. At the beginning of the study, historical developments and transformation of the Sudanese novel and the literary movements that emerged over time are examined. In the first chapter life, literary personality and works of Tayeb Salih are analyzed. The second chapter, which constitutes the main part of the work, provides a broad summary of "Mawsim al-Hijra ila al-Shamal" and examines its narrative techniques. In the conclusion, the results reached about the author and his "Mawsim al-Hijra ila al-Shamal" are presented. Throughout the work, "Mevsimu'l-Hicra ile'ş-Şemâl," the Turkish translation of the novel translated by Adnan Cihangir, is used.
