Ayat al-ahkam in the et-Tefsiru'l-Mazhari -Surah al-Baqara and Nisa-

This study is limited to the ahkam verses in Surahs al-Baqarah and al-Nisa. Ahkam verses are the source of practical judgment. The exegesis of the verses containing the practical provisions is called the exegesis of Ahkam al-Qur'an. Ahkam al-Qur'an is divided into sub-branches such as ibadat (rulings on religious practices), muamalat (rulings on commercial transactions), munakahat (rulings on marriage and family). Under these headings, the orders and prohibitions brought to establish the worldly and hereafter peace of human are discussed. Since the early periods, various interpretations have been made on these provisions which we fulfill in order to attain happiness in this world and the hereafter. These interpretations by commentators who lived in different centuries are important. In this study, we have examined the jurisprudential aspect of Thanaullah Panipati's al-Tafsir al-Mazhari. While examining al-Tafsir al-Mazhari, we compared the provisions in question from the works of prominent commentators who belonged to different sects and lived in different periods and investigated their similarities and differences. The commentators whose works we will consider Shafi'i, al-Jassas, al-Qurtubi, and al-Sabuni.
