Abstract (EN)

La Boétie's ideas in the field of political philosophy in the first half of the 16th century have been one of the most debated areas until today. La Boétie argues that man is naturally free. However, the emergence of tyranny once or political power will not even make people dream of attaining freedom again. Because the natural abilities of man have been corrupted by the relations and methods of tyranny. This corruption perpetuates the process of human servitude through the relations of tyranny. La Boétie's degeneration of human nature in the relations of ruler and ruled becomes immanent in the institutionalised structure of the state in modern times. In the modern period, the massified human being continues to voluntarily serve the tyranny due to his degenerating nature. These basic ideas of La Boétie influenced European Enlightenment thinkers. It also deepens our understanding of man in modern times. My aim in this study will be to find and reveal the traces of La Boetie's basic thoughts on both the historical and modern period.
