The effects of interactive and transformational leadership features on business performance and a research in tourism sector

The Leadership and business performance are two important issues for businesses. Businesses need leaders who will contribute to their development in order to maintain their existence and make high in profits. In the information age, where technological developments increase and change and transformation are necessary, the need for visionary, future-oriented leaders who can manage the group they work with is also increasing. In this dissertation, the concept of leadership, the importance of leadership and its purpose are explained, and then leadership approaches are emphasized. Transformational and transactional leadership characteristics and their sub-dimensions were emphasized and their effects on business performance were examined. In the dissertation study, the effects of Interactionist and Transformational leadership characteristics on business contributions to the business performance in 5-star hotels operating in the tourism sector in Istanbul were investigated. The purpuse of the research consists of five-star hotels operating in the tourism sector in Istanbul. The data of 411 questionnaires collected within the scope of the research were analyzed and their details were examined.
