Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of basalt fibers (BF) on the flexural strength of reinforced concrete (RC) beams without stirrups. The test parameters are shear span-to-depth ratio (a/d) (3.5, 4.5, 6.0) and volume fraction of BFs (0%, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%). For this purpose, the beams have been tested under concentrated load at mid-span to determine the flexural strength. Based on the test results, it is concluded that as the fiber volume increases, the flexural strength of the beams decrease, besides the deflection of the maximum loads and ductility of the beams increase.
