The concept of play of Eugen Fink

This thesis includes an evaluation on the existential dimension of the concept of Spiel (Game/Play) in Eugen Fink. In the first part of our study, which consists of 3 parts, a general definition of the concept of game/play, its features and basic elements and etymological origin are mentioned. In the second part, the philosophical dimension of the concept of play, which Fink emphasizes, is discussed through Heraclitus, Plato, Schiller, Nietzsche, Huizinga, L. Wittgenstein and Heidegger. In the third chapter, the human game/play and its existential dimension, which Fink discusses and problematizes, the concept of cult game/play, the interpretation of the myths, the relationship of human existence with the world and the world as a game/play are discussed. Finally, Fink's approach to the concept of game is discussed and a general evaluation is made.
