Abstract (EN)

This study aims to understand what the problems of women are working in domestic services in Turkey and how they struggle with these problems. In line with this goal, they were contacted with snowball sampling technique and 8 migrant women, most of whom were from Turkmenistan, including Kyrgyz origin and Moldovans, were contacted. The working places and working experiences of the two interviewers, in which an in-depth interview was also repeated, were observed closely for a long time and field experience was obtained. In this study, which was created within the framework of qualitative research, an interpretive phenomenological research design was used, and the findings were tried to be determined with semi-structured interview questions directed to the interviewers. With these questions directed to the women, the demographic characteristics of the women were determined, the situation of how the migration processes to Turkey (before and after) were carried out was revealed, the difficult processes and struggle strategies of the working lives of women, most of whom are unregistered or spend part of their lives unregistered, were discussed and evaluated. Migrant women's labor, which experiences the ambiguity of the private sphere public sphere in the labor market, has been evaluated in the context of gender and patriarchal capitalism relations, and it has been revealed how the phenomenon of migration, which constitutes a key point in the use of women's labor and body as a colonial tool, affects women's lives. Finally, as a result of this research, the findings of which were analysed, it was revealed that women are exposed to all male bullying in this job market which is connected to the informal sector and that the struggle against these bullying is limited for them. Women who were immigrants, informal, women, wives and mothers continued to produce private labor for their own families while producing labor in the private sphere for someone else. The selves of these women, who do not have much expectation about the future, continue to be shaped around patriarchal practices.
