Evaluation of correlation between serum asprosin and pancreatic hormone in Covid-19 patients

Abstract (EN)

The prevalence rate of the number of people infected with Covid-19 in the city of Baquba during a full calendar year was 8.31%, and that the prevalence rate in males was higher than in females, and the prevalence rate for the age group (20-35) was higher than the rest of the groups, as it was found that Its prevalence rate according to the season was higher in the fall season compared to the rest of the seasons, but in terms of months, the highest rate was in September compared to the rest of the months. The results of the current study indicate that: - The glucose level increased significantly (P≤0.05) in the blood serum of groups G1, G2, and G3 compared to the healthy group, while HbA1C increased significantly (P≤0.05) in groups G2, G3 compared to groups G1, and C. The levels of TAC, GSH, and metalloendopeptase decreased significantly (P≤0.05) in the serum of group G2 and G1 compared to group G3 and C, with no significant difference between G1 and C for GSH. Otherwise, the metalloendopeptase activity was significantly (P≤0.05) increased in the serum of group G1 compared to C and G2.
