This dessertation falls under the branch of comparative linguistics, a branch that believes every human language is special and has its own features . In spite of this speciality, comparative linguistics sees it possible to have lexical and syntactic relatedness or correspondence between some languages, as a result of many factors of which some are: sharing a common ancestral connection, coexistence of natives of two or more different languages in common place and socio-economic and socio-political interactions. In this respect, The Arabic language and The English language are the most widely spoken and used languages in our contemporary world. The purpose of this study is to tackle and answer this question: what are the points of contact or relatedness between the Arabic language and the English language on both Grammatical and morphological levels respectively? Doing this will definitely make it easy for the speakers of these two languages to inter-Learn comfortably. Three known research methods have been put to use in this study, and they are: The historical, descriptive and comparative methodologies. The researcher, however, has encountered some difficulties during his work on this project, in that, he could not get the adequate references due to the scarcity of linguistic studies in this field in English within the geographical scope that the researcher finds himself; thus, we depended greatly on expert articles and papers on the Internet after a thorough survey of The universities within our reach for books. In the end of this study, it was established that there a number of language contacts and relatedness between the Arabic language and the English language on grammatical and morphological grounds. Some of The most effective ones of These language phenomena were carefully analyzed in accordance with the structure and time frame of this project. This study, moreover, emphasizes on the fact the the Arabic language has enormous richness in terms of its syntax, phonemes, forms of words and their extractions. Whereas, the English language has some inner and outer features that made it spread and stood the test of time. Lastly, A list of results from this study has been attached to serve as guide to subsequent studies in the future.
