Intestate succession of the adoptee

In this dissertation concerning intestate succession of the adoptee, initially the variant adoption systems in terms of their effects on the adoptee's intestate succession are explained. After elaborating on full, limited and hybrid adoption systems in this context, the requirements for the adoptee to become an intestate heir to the adopter in Turkish law are discussed. Subsequently it is moved on to the detailed examination of the consequences of adoption regarding inheritance law. Finally on the subject of the intestate succession of the adoptee, the problems put forward in doctrine emanating from the effects of adherence to the limited adoption system in Turkish law on the intestate succession of the adoptee are dealt with. On that score, after deliberating the applicable remedies proposed in doctrine and especially the opinion of adapting full adoption in Turkish law which is defended by many authors, it is attempted to introduce other remedies on how to overcome the problems in question while keeping the current adoption system intact.
