Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research is to investigate attachment dimensions (anxious attachment and avoidant attachment) and the predictive effect of self-esteem on the tendency to infidelity. According to the results of the study, it was observed that there was a significant relationship between attachment styles and self-esteem and the tendency to infidelity in the current sample. The analyzes showed that anxious-avoidant attachment and self-esteem predicted the tendency to infidelity; While there is a positive significant relationship between avoidant attachment and tendency to infidelity, there is a negative significant relationship between avoidant attachment and self-esteem, individuals with high anxious attachment have high self-esteem and tendency to infidelity, and there is a negative significant relationship between self-esteem and tendency to infidelity has revealed. The findings emphasized that attachment styles and self-esteem have a predictive effect on the tendency to infidelity and its importance.
