Gearboxes, the most widely used branch of power and motion transmission mechanisms, are an important component of many basic machine systems. They are widely used in many industrial applications to increase the torque transmitted by the motor, another basic component of machine systems, or to reduce the angular velocity and therefore the rotational speed. Harmonic gearboxes, which have advantages over classical gear mechanisms, are known as Cycloid gearboxes in the market and are widely used in the manufacturing industry, including robotic applications, due to their high bond ratios that they can create compared to the volume they occupy, shock-free operation, economical when considered in terms of working life, and compact design. Within the scope of this thesis, a harmonic gearbox design with an evolvent profile structure that can be produced by conventional production methods has been studied. In the first part of the thesis, information about gear mechanisms is given. In the other chapters, gear designs were made with the help of KISSsoft program, which is accepted as the most common computer application in gear design, and (contact) gear contact analysis and finite element analysis were performed. The gear forms obtained from Kissoft program were transferred to SolidWorks CAD program and the design of the harmonic gearbox was completed. As a result of the analyses, the rigid harmonic gearbox in the evolvent profile structure, whose optimum production parameters were revealed, was manufactured by 3D additive manufacturing method, and in this way, an illustration of the designed final gearbox was created and the problems that may occur before the final production were tried to be identified in advance.
