The main objective of this study; to examine the influences of flipped classroom on the students learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and the students' perspectives on the flipped classroom. This study also attempts to identify the effects of the flipped classroom on the learners' performance in the classroom environment.This study was carried out with twenty two students in a higher education institution, in Turkey. In this mixed-methodology study, the pre-test and post-test was administered in order to define the change in their exam performance. Following the five weeks of flipped classroom intervention, the focus group interviews with the students, teacher's observational field notes and flipped classroom implementation into the curriculum were analyzed, in order to verify the data. Results of this study revealed that preparatory school learners tend to experience rather high level of performance both in the classroom setting and in their exam results. The students also mention their high level of their performance in their focus group interviews with their own expressions. The overall findings of this study is also consistent with the previous studies which have shown the flipped classroom have a significant effect on the performance of the students.
