Abstract (EN)

Aware of the role of logistics in its competitiveness, the industrial firm SEWS Ain Aouda continues to make the optimization of its management processes its main lever while ensuring the quality of delivery of final products. Improving the management of raw material inventory is one of its main concerns. In this regard, this study project represents an attempt to enhance the management of raw material stocks by integrating VBA system into the already functional MRP system. To conduct this study, we started by highlighting the importance of inventory management in the company's development process by identifying inventory management practices and the problems that can be generated by fluctuations in customer demands. The literature review allowed us to address different computer tools and various inventory management methods. The data collected during this case study were useful in forming a clear idea of inventory management practices at the industrial company SEWS Ain Aouda, specialized in the manufacturing of electrical harnesses. Additionally, this study provided us with the opportunity to identify variations in customer needs. The adoption of the order tracking approach using Excel VBA system in the MRP system, introduced in consensus with the procurement manager, enabled us to automatically determine unnecessary orders and excess stocks. This allows managers to continuously monitor stock level variations and make appropriate decisions in case of detecting unnecessary orders. Therefore, the use of VBA can be a factor in improving inventory management at the SEWS company level.
