Abstract (EN)

In this study, the factors affecting surface quality and kerf angle in plasma arc cutting (PAC) systems, which are widely used in steel construction manufacturing enterprises, have been investigated. The results were examined by changing the arc voltage and current values on the materials of different thicknesses. For this purpose, cutting operations were carried out on S235Jr structural steel plates, which are frequently used in steel construction production due to their easy processability. Variety of experiments were carried out for perforating and cutting processes with plasma arc cutting. The experiments were carried out according to the 3-level full factorial test design, 90 samples were obtained for perforating and 27 samples for cutting. Then, an artificial neural network model was created using the findings obtained from experiments. The results of the parameter values were estimated and the optimization range was extended. Key Words: PAC, Surface Roughness, Kerf Geometry, ANN
