The place of Ayman Rushdi Suwayd in the science of the Quran and tajweed

This thesis titled "The Place of Ayman Rushdī Suwayd in Qur'an and Tajweed" aims to examine the scholarly life of Ayman Suwayd and his approach to some controversial issues related to tajweed, Qur'an and Qiraat in an academic framework. For this purpose, the subject of the study is Ayman Rushdie al-Suwayd's scholarly life, his works, his teachers, his students, his scholarly activities, and his approach to some issues that are problematic in the science of qiraat and tajweed. This study consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In the first part of the thesis, the social, political and scientific background of Syria, where Ayman al-Suwayd was born and raised, is briefly mentioned. In addition, Suwayd's life, his scholarly personality, his teachers, students, works and other scholarly activities were discussed. In the last part of the first part, Suwayd's methodology in his works and other studies is outlined. In the second part, Suwayd's approach to some controversial issues in the Qur'an, tajweed and qiraat sciences and the reflections of these discussions in our country and the rest of the Islamic world were tried to be determined. Before evaluating these approaches, brief information about the sciences of tajwid and qiraat is given. On the other hand, the issues such as the letter's mahrah and adjectives, the letter "dād", gunna, iklāb and lip ihfās, chalqalah, the seven letters, and the education and teaching of the Qur'ān, which are accepted as problematic issues of these sciences, have been examined.
