Abstract (EN)

Matured and developed reliability methods, complex systems, and the use of new materials and technologies have created their own standards and methods. In particular, the aviation and space, nuclear energy, petroleum and petrochemical branches, which are considered as extreme technologies, have not only used these techniques, but also contributed to their development and maturation. In aviation, the initial procurement price of a system is very small compared to the maintenance operating budget of that system. Therefore, determining the maintenance standard and policy of a system according to usage conditions is one of the important problems for the users. Producer countries and organizations determine the maintenance policy of the systems according to their own conditions. However, in systems operating under different conditions, this maintenance leads to an increase in operating costs, but also adversely affects the reliability of the system. The aim of this study is to determine the maintenance standards and policies of the Accessory Drive Gearbox (ADG) unit of F-16 aircraft sourced from abroad and used in Turkey with the help of reliability analysis based on real data. As a result of the study, the reliability values of ADG, the critical unit of F-16 warplanes, were reached, Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) value of the unit, change in MTTF value after revision, The success rate of our revisions based on these data and information on how many units will malfunction and come to repair / revision within a specified time period have been determined.
