Life, art and works of Fahir Onger

In this study, it is aimed to analyze the writings of Fatih Onger, who wrote critiques, features, essays and reviews within the point of view of Social Realism, in the light of his literary thoughts. Moreover, stories which may be called as the first literary works of Fahir Onger are analyzed.In the first part of our study, we have studied the life of Fahir Onger. In the second part, we have dealt with his literary figure; the effective factors forming this figure; the features of his critics, essay writings, and story telling. In addition, we have mentioned Fahir Onger?s literary ideas through his works and gave information about his only published work, an anthology called ?Bugünkü Şiirimiz?. Finally the last part has included the detailed analysis of a story written by Fahir Onger.It should be noted that the stories of Fahir Onger were just attempts to create stories and it may be wrong to call them successful from the literary point of view. Therefore, it may be said that the writer?s storytelling fell behind his critiques. The essays of Onger; however, reflects his critical attitude.Fahir Onger adhered to all of the characteristics of Social Realism between 1940-1955, the first period of his literary life, though he sometimes made subjective comments on this approach. In his second period of literary life (1965 ? 1971), the critic had a more objective and systematic attitude towards his comments and analyses.In his critiques and studies, Fatih Onger gave great importance to the world view of the writer / poet, their way of dealing with human and the originality of their works.Key Words1.
