Abstract (EN)

Public must have some virtues to be cammon. One of them is having common culture. Folk culture forms the fundomental charekter of a nation. Fakir Baykurt is also a writer who reflects thhe volues of the society he comes from the best. By the help of Fakir Baykurt?s being a villager?s child and his reflecting masterly the culture of villages where the culture degeneration is at the least level, we came across a lot af culturel elements in our work. In the first part, we informed about the life of the writer and novel which we examined. In the second part, we studied Folk literature elements in his novels and haw they were used in his novels. In the third part, we worked on the elements of folklore and their usages.We have classified scientifically all the elements that we found in his novels. In the novels that we studied, the passages which were related with the folk culture, are given in order of page numbers in the novels. As a result, we can say that, Fakir Baykurt who is a novelist, has studied the period that he lived, the geography and the folk culture in his novels masterly.Keywords: Culture, Folklore, Novel, Fakir Baykurt
