Abstract (EN)
The units where education and training activities are held in a university campus are located in the academic district. The places used for educational purposes and the administrative places associated with them are collected in the faculty buildings. The main function of universities is also carried out in these buildings. Certain plan schemes are often used for educational structures, but there are also significant differences between them. This difference in space organization and circulation line also affects the accessibility value of spaces. The purpose of the study in this context; evaluating the spatial characteristics of educational structures with the idea that there should be a quality educational structure for quality education in universities and using the data obtained as a design input in the field of building information. Space analysis method was used as a method in the study. At the first stage, function analysis was performed on architectural plans, in which training units, administrative units and circulation areas were determined. In the second stage, user circulation analysis was performed on the floor plans. This analysis study consists of three steps. In the analysis of student circulation, which is the first step, the entrance-canteen, entrance-stairs and canteen-stairs connections were measured on the ground floor, and the nearest classrooms and the furthest classroom distances that can be reached according to the stairs on the upper floors. In the second step, academic staff circulation analysis, the entrance-ladder connections were measured on the ground floor and the nearest room and the furthest room distances that can be reached according to the ladder were measured on the upper floors. In the analysis of the connections between classrooms and academic staff rooms, which is the third step, first the nearest and farthest room was determined according to the classrooms, then the nearest and farthest classroom was determined according to the rooms and the distances between these spaces were measured. The results of the method were interpreted as a whole, and as a result of the evaluations, general inferences were presented in which the positive and negative aspects of each plan scheme were determined. The resulting data was proposed as a design input in the area of building information.
