Abstract (EN)

In this study Farabi's thoughts concerning creating are examined. Approaching the issue it is mainly studied how the atmosphere of ideas in which the thinker lives understands creating.For this purpose, the study first deals with the problem of how the subject matter of creation is understood within the intellectual word which Farabi belongs to.The study aims to analyse Farabi?s view on the problem of creation. It consists of two main chapter. The first chapter deals with the consepts of creatıon that are used within this context. The second chapter deals with understanding of creation within Farabi?s thout.Although he has no specific work on creatıon, Farabi discusses this issue in his main works on the basis of these works, this studies attempts to determine his view on the issue. Farabi thinks that there is a necessary relation between knowing and giving being, and explains creatıon on the basis of this relatıon. On the basis of God?s being and the knowledge of his being all other beings come into being through the process of emanation. As a conclusion it can be said that in order to fill the gap between God the world, Farabi presented this kind of creation model.
