Abstract (EN)
This thesis tried to update the concepts of 'difference' and 'repetition', which took place in the conceptual background of culture and art disciplines of the simultaneous changes and transformations in art and art education at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, within art and design education. The study aims to re-update the context in question and present an original analysis shaped by this content by examining the problems that became evident with the breaks in 20th century Western Art. Basic Art Education and Basic Design departments can be defined as the sum of complex, synthetic structures that are revealed in the possibility of education given in the elementary system, especially the structures developed in a common denominator agreement with the effects of the Bauhaus school. This system, which is realized in the center of the medium of all disciplines, re-examines the basic art elements in the context of this study and in the focus of the concepts of "difference and repetition", which form the main structure of the thesis context. Gilles Deleuze's handling of the concept of 'Difference and repetition' constitutes the philosophical context on which the conceptual framework of this study is based. Concepts of same, similar, repeat, difference; examined through the concepts of space and time. These concepts and their potentials in the artistic production stage constitute the main subject of the thesis. In addition, when these contents, the relations they establish among themselves, are included in the production contexts as spatial and temporal processes, they cause the overlapping contents of stratified structures. It is seen that spatial-based repetitions form an art ontology from the relevant mediums, installation or time-based repetitions towards video art, and in hybrid structures where both are co-founders, it creates an art ontology. The differences emerging from the structures built in the context of all these practices and repetitions exist as an aesthetic problem rather than a proof of visible quality. In other words, the concept of difference is in the nature of a superior language revealed by the relevant medium. Therefore, the data obtained from all these structures also seem to provide a new perspective on the basic art education environment. Contemporary art is handled in the context of this duality of concepts, and a paradigmatic approach is tried to be shown that can help artist practices to be examined and become an educational model. Elements in art production have evolved as the language of artistic production itself. By bringing the conceptual framework of this study closer to the language of philosophy, the level of awareness of the relationship between these concepts and art is created.
