Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, activated carbons that have the potential to be used as electrodes in electricity storage systems were synthesized and their electrochemical properties were investigated. The capacitive performances and electrochemical properties of supercapacitors fabricated in CR2032 containers using electrodes produced with prepared activated carbons were examined. In this context, activated carbon samples were produced at different Co(NO3)2 concentrations, at different carbonization temperatures and using different activation tools, and their structures were examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy, X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD). It is characterized. The electrochemical performance of the samples was examined using cyclic voltammetry (CV), constant current charge-discharge (GCD) and impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques in a three-cell electrode system. In the studies conducted, the surface areas and specific capacitance values of activated carbon samples produced at 800°C with the activation of K2CO3, H3PO4, ZnCl2, H2SO4 and KOH at a constant current density of 250 mA/g were 918 m2/g and 1.4 F/g, 1833 m2/g and 222.4 F/g; 1597 m2/g and 149.9 F/g; 691 m2/g and 8.4 F/g; It was calculated as 1125 m2/g and 162.2 F/g, respectively. It has been observed that the activated carbon sample obtained by activating the carbon foam produced using 10% Co(NO3)2 with H3PO4 activation at 800°C gave the best results.
