Abstract (EN)

In this study, the heavy metals (Al, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ga, Se, Zn) and mineral matters (Ba, Be, Ca, Li, Mg, Na, Sr) were analised by ICP-OES in the samples taken from Silurus glanis (L. 1758), and Anguilla anguilla (L. 1758) from Kemer Dam Lake, Cyprinus carpio (L. 1758) from Örenler Dam Lake and Carassius gibelio (Bloch,1782) from Seyitler Dam Lake between August 2007 and August 2008.As seen from the results, the highest heavy metal and mineral substances ingredients in C. carpio were determined as 12,80 µg/g in Al in Winter and µg/g in Ga 1,27 in Spring. Ba in Winter 2,24 µg/g, Be, Cd and Cu in Autumn respectively 0,44 µg/g, 0,05 µg/g and 0,54 µg/g in C. gibelio, Cr 16,55 µg/g, Fe 62,72 µg/g, Mg 407,84 µg/g, Na 716,84 µg/g in Winter in S. glanis were obtained. Ca and Zn in Summer respectively 707,99 µg/g, 42,44 µg/g, Li and Se in Spring 0,12 µg/g and 2,24 µg/g, Sr in Autumn 1,19 µg/g were found in A. anguilla. As a result, heavy metal concentrations in muscle tissue of the fish species examined were compared with the limit values of being determined by EPA, FAO/WHO and the goverment. While Cd, Cr, and Zn were determined to be over the limit values, the other heavy metal values were determined to be under the limit values.
