Effects of different plant growth regulators on some characteristics of white lily (Lilium candidum L.) plants produced under in vitro conditions

Abstract (EN)
White lily plant, which is spread in a wide area from Central Asia to the Mediterranean region; It is important among bulbous plants. It has natural distribution areas in the flora of our country. Propagation of the white lily plant by planting its bulbs; It lengthens the production process, increases costs and slows down its natural spread. Collecting it from nature with inappropriate methods and unconsciously removing its bulbs cause the decrease in white lily plantations in nature. In the present study, the white lily plant, which is used in industry, cosmetics and medicine, was rapidly propagated by in vitro micropropagation method and yield and yield parameters such as the number of shoots per explant, shoot weight, shoot size, plant height, number of leaves, leaf weight, root number were examined. In the study, TDZ (Thidiazuron) was used as cytokinin and NAA (Naphthelene acetic acid) and IBA (Indole Butyric acid) were used as auxins. Three different treatments were prepared using different doses of TDZ and NAA. In the tissue culture study, we conducted on the Lilium candidum plant, the highest number of shoots was observed in the culture medium added to 0.6 TDZ + 0.2 NAA, it was observed that more productive plantlets grew in the culture medium to which 1.5 mg/L NAA was added. In in vitro white lily plants taken outdoors, the maximum root length was obtained in the medium with 1 mg/L IBA, and the maximum leaf length was obtained from the treatment with 1 mg/L IBA dose and the treatment with 1 mg/L IBA and 1,5 mg/L NAA dose. This study will accelerate the spread of white lily plants produced through tissue culture method and contribute to its cultivation.
