Examination of different branch teachers' attitudes to physical education course according to some variables: The example of Tokat

The aim of this study is to evaluate the attitudes of teachers in different branches, working in schools under the Ministry of National Education, towards physical education lesson according to some variables and to offer solutions as a result of this evaluation. The universe of the research consists of teachers from different branches who provide education in primary, secondary and high schools in Tokat. The sample of the study was determined by the convenience sampling method, 7106 teachers were determined, 420 of the distributed questionnaires were returned, and as a result of the examinations, 400 questionnaires were found suitable for use. The data to be used in this study were obtained with a questionnaire form. The first part of the questionnaire, which consists of two parts, consists of questions about demographic characteristics. In the second part of the questionnaire, there are questions in the 5-point likert form prepared to determine the attitudes of teachers in different branches towards physical education lesson. Data analysis in the research was done with SPSS package program. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistical tests such as frequency, percentage and mean were performed. The normality test of the data was performed, and it was decided that the data were not normally distributed, since the significance value was less than 0.05 (0.00 < 0.05) as a result of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Since the data were not normally distributed, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test were used. Cronbach's alpha coefficients were calculated to test validity and reliability. In addition, Tamhome's T2 test, which is one of the Anova test and Post Hoc multiple comparison tests, was used. The reliability test of the study was performed and the Cronbach Alpha value was found to be 0.955. In the validity test, the questions for which the internal reliability test was applied were shown to the experts and the validity of the questions was tested.
