Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to use the Scratch 3.0 program, which is a block-based coding platform, in different branches and to get the opinions of teachers from different branches by making them develop applications through the Scratch 3.0 program. Thanks to the coding training that teachers received, training was provided to develop students' problem solving skills by integrating the material they developed into their own disciplines. In the research, a case study, which is a qualitative research model, was used. The research group consists of 8 teachers from different branches who are working in the 2019-2020 academic year. The three-week application process was carried out with both synchronous lessons and asynchronous (video) lessons. The data in the study were collected using a structured interview form. In addition to the interview forms, video, photographs and audio recordings were also included. Content analysis method was used in the data analysis of the research. The codes and themes were created by evaluating the data with an expert. According to the data obtained from the findings, a total of four themes were determined regarding the teachers' views on the development process of their educational / interactive materials in the Scratch 3.0 program. According to the results of the research, it was determined that individuals who have readiness about coding and programming education do not have difficulty while developing their educational / interactive materials on the Scratch 3.0 coding platform. It is seen that teachers develop their materials in the Scratch 3.0 coding platform, taking into account the age and development levels of the students and meeting their expectations. It has been observed that the lessons that take place in the video conferencing application make them feel more comfortable and provide social communication with other colleagues. It has been observed that videos with asynchronous content facilitate the creation of their materials in the program. In addition, suggestions were made for the use of Scratch 3.0 program, which is a block-based coding platform, in different branches and for teachers in different branches to develop applications in this context. Accordingly, due to the limited number of lectures given through the online video conference platform; It has been suggested that this period should be increased for learning to be more efficient and permanent. Suggestions were made that in-service trainings should be organized for teachers in primary and secondary school branches for coding / programming education and use of the Scratch coding program.
