Özet (EN)

The first law of thermodynamics gives a quantitative, not qualitative, perception of energy sources. The second law of thermodynamics determines the direction in which real processes occur in nature. In this research, the energy and exergy analysis was studied on the third unit of the Taza power station with a capacity of 300 MW, where the energy and exergy balance equations were written for each component of the gas turbine, and the values of the exergy destruction were calculated in each of its parts and for the gas turbine as a whole. The study showed that the largest value of the exergy destruction occurs in the combustion chamber, and the exergy analysis showed that the exergy efficiency in general decreases with the increase in the ambient temperature. The study also showed that the thermal efficiency of the station decreases with the increase in the ambient temperature. The thermoeconomic analyis show that the largest cost rate happens in combustion chamber and the kilowatt-hour cost is about 2.28 cent/kW-h
