Abstract (EN)

In this study, 4 black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) populations obtained from Burdur and its districts and 3 black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) populations obtained from Afyon province and the seeds of the Çameli variety were used as materials. This study was carried out in Bolu ecological conditions during the 2022 vegetation period in BAİBÜ Agricultural Research and Applications Area, according to the Randomized Block Trial Design with 3 replications. In the study, morphological, yield and some quality criteria of different black cumin populations were determined. In the study, 50% seedling and flowering times varied between 16.33-35 and 84.67-93.67 days, respectively. Plant height values are 46.40-58.80 cm, number of branches values are 4.10-5.57 pieces/plant, first capsule height is 34.00-44.70 cm, number of capsules is 6.60-9.67 pieces/plant, number of grains in the capsule is 88.85-101.50 pieces, weight of 1000 seeds is 2.15-2.78 g, seed yield per plant is 0.34-1.46 g, seed yield is 50.59-94.82 kg/da, biological yield varied between 344.16-1085.30 kg/da, harvest index varied between 5.95-16.81%. Among the quality criteria, essential oil and fixed oil ratios were determined between 0.16-0.54% and 14.87-22.54%. While the major essential oil components were determined as p-cymene, thymoquinone and α-thujene, stearic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid and myristic acid were determined as major fatty acids. Within the scope of the data obtained as a result of the study, Kısa Sap-1 and Uzun sap-Afyon populations came to the fore in terms of seed yield, volatile oil components and fixed fatty acids. In addition, Tefenni and Bucak populations stand out in terms of total phenolic content and FRAP value, respectively, while Çeltikçi population stands out in terms of total flavonoid and DPPH value.
