Effects of pliometric preloading with different rest intervals on laap performance

Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in order to determine and interpret the effects of pliometric preloading, which is performed with different rest intervals, on jump performance. The average age (Age= 20.74±1.94) with at least one year of pliometric training history were included in the study as 20 male athletes. Participants participated in test measurements a total of five times. On the first day, a 'handization' test was performed and the participants were inspected by introducing a 3 x 10 tuck jumps pliometric preload protocol. Then, the 15-second repetitive active bounce (CMJ) test protocol was shown and the application was requested. In addition, body weight, height length and body composition measurements of all participants were taken on the adaptation test day. After the exercise test day, with a randomized, cross-cycle, opposite-balanced research design, participants conducted control (KON), four-minute rest pliometric boot (PLIO4), eight-minute rest pliometric boot (PLIO8), and twelve-minute resting pliometric boot (PLIO12) trials. A rest space of at least 48 hours was left between test days. All tests were performed on a full stomach 2-3 hours after breakfast between 11:00-12:00. The data obtained were analyzed in the SPSS 21.0 package program and the margin of error was determined as 0.05 (Describing Statistics, Anova and Benferoni Post-Hoc). When the findings obtained from the study were examined; It was determined that the vertical jump peak power output after activation applied with different preloaded pliometric exercises were higher in the groups with 8th and 12 minutes of rest compared to the control group on the total average scores (p<0.05). However, there was no difference in the vertical jump peak power output maximum elevation levels of post- activation potential (PAP) (p>0.05). vii As a result; It is thought that pliometric preloading, which is performed with different rest intervals, is an important point in increasing the vertical jump performance of athletes.
