Abstract (EN)
Objective: It was aimed to determine the effects of two different training programs, which were created with different applications in the horizontal (HT: hip thrust) and vertical direction (S: squat), on the jump and 30 m sprint parameters in young male football players. Method: The sample of the study consisted of 28 contestants between the ages of 16-22 and actively engaged in football in Antalya. Data were collected by anthropometric measurements, Active Jumping, Standing Long Jump, Displacement Test, Squat and Hip Thrust 3RM Strength Tests, and 30 m sprint test. Two-Related Samples Test, Friedman, Wilcoxon tests were used in the analysis of the data. Results: According to the first measurement values and comparisons of SHT, HT and K groups; There was a significant difference between the groups in the first measurements of AS, 10m, 20m, DUA parameters (p<0.05). In the first measurement made before the training program, AS (X2=7.972, p<0.05) and DUA (X2=16.681, p<0.05) values were statistically significant between SHT and K groups (Z=-2.221, p=0.026, r=-0.52). At the last measurement, AS, COD-505 and DUA values were statistically significant between SHT and K groups. AS, COD-505 and DUA values were statistically significantly different between HT and K groups (p<0.05, p<0.001). When the participants' training program is examined before and after the jump and sprint; A statistically significant difference was found between all values of HT and SHT groups before and after training. Conclusion: Similar improvement values were observed in short distance sprint performances in both the HT group and the SHT group. HT and back squat applied in the SHT group were more effective on the acceleration phase. The increase in DUA performance was also higher in the SHT group. The fact that the DUA performance is in the form of an oblique throw that requires both horizontal and vertical force application shows that both the back squat movement and HT have an optimum effect. The results of this study show that HT is also effective on sprinting by increasing hip extension.
