Abstract (EN)

The field experiment was conducted during the 2021 at the experimental area of the Faculty of Agriculture, Eskisehir Osmangazi University. This study was carried out to examine the effects of different sowing times and amino acid applications on yield and yield components of beans in Eskişehir ecological conditions. The experimental design was split plot with four replicates. Sowing times (April 16, April 29, May 19) were in main plots and amino acid applications (control; seed coating; foliar application; seed coating + foliar application) in subplots. According to the variance analysis result; Except for plant height, first pod height, main branch diameter, biological yield per plant and number of pods per plant are statistically significant for sowing time x amino acid applications interaction. According to the experiments results, the plant height was 32.70-51.65 cm; first pod height 10.73-17.80 cm; main branch diameter 4.12-5.75 mm; biological yield per plant 9.90-23.60 g/plant; the number of pods per plant varies between 5.45-16.40. As a result, seed coating + foliar application and foliar amino acid application gave positive results in terms of yield and yield components. It can be recommended to use amino acid applications in bean cultivation. Sowing time can be brought forward by using amino acids in Eskişehir ecological conditions.
