Abstract (EN)
Medicinal aromatic plants are becoming an important group of plants, the importance and usage areas of which are increasing day by day. Especially essential oils have been used frequently in our daily lives recently. Essential oils are obtained by using the flower parts of medicinal and aromatic plants. Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia Emeric ex Loisel.) is a plant with economic value, which is used in many fields, especially in the perfumery industry, from which essential oil is obtained from the flower parts. The aim of this master's thesis is; to determine the antioxidant activity and essential oil components of Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia Emeric ex Loisel.) grown in different ecological conditions and to reveal the effects of ecological differences on these variables. It was observed that the essential oil ratios of lavandin samples grown in different locations varied between 0.5% and 4.4%. The major essential oil components were found to be linalool (13.66%-26.40%) and linalyl acetate (10.88%-29.89%). Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia Emeric ex Loisel.) samples TP (Total phenolic) between 2.13-4.74 mg GAE/g sample values, TF (Total flavonoid substance) between 0.43-0.66 mg QE/g sample values, FRAP (Iron (III) reduction) 27.62-79.50 It was determined that µmol Fe2SO4.7H2O/g sample values and DPPH (radical scavenging activity) values between 0.54-1.84 SC50 mg/mL. The results obtained support the idea that the plant materials used in the study are suitable for use in the perfumery industry.
