Abstract (EN)
In this study, carotenoid production quantities of 7 different Rhodotorula spp. (R. glutinis, R. mucilaginosa, R. bacarum, R. bogoriensis, R. minuta, R. graminis and R. armeniaca) in different cultivation conditions (pH, agitating speed, irradiation) are determined. In this study, culture medium is set to be pH:5,5 and 6,0, irradiation: 0 and 3 lamp each of 83 W, agitation speed: 150 and 180 rpm for pigment production, According to the obtained results, highest amount of carotenoids synthesized by Rhodotorula glutinis at 180 rpm, irradiated and pH 6. It has followed by R. mucilaginosa, R. graminis, R. minuta, R. armeniaca, R. bogoriensis. It is determined that lowest carotenoid production obtained by R. bacarum. Consequently, it is determined that effect of pH, irradiation and agitation speed were found to be important statistically (p<0.05 düzeyinde) on carotenoid production.
