Özet (EN)

In this study, buckling behavior of isotropic plates subjected to axial compressive forces and including geometrically different cut-outs is studied. For this purpose, firstly, the buckling behavior of the plates with and without cut-outs is explained. Various square and rectangular parts are cut-out from different sections of the plate. The buckling behavior of the obtained plates is performed by the SAP2000 program. The buckling loads and the first buckling modes obtained from the finite element analyses are presented. Consequently, the buckling loads increase with increasing cut-out size and moving away from the plate center. The buckling load increases in plates with fixed boundaries. Besides, the increase in the buckling load is low while the cut-out size increases parallel to applied forces. This study consists of four sections. In the first section, general information about buckling of the plates and the selected studies carried out in this subject are presented. In the second section, numerical model of the bucking of plates and the methods used for determining buckling loads are explained. In addition to this, in the scope of this study, mathematical model of the plate considered in this study is explained. And also, the effect of the square and rectangular cut-outs on the buckling behavior of the isotropic plates is investigated. In the third part, obtained results from the numerical buckling analysis are presented and explained in detail. In the fourth and also the last part, general results of this study are discussed.
