Abstract (EN)

In this study, effects of obsidian, fly ash and blast furnace slag on the alkali silica reaction of the cement and the hydration heat was investigated. In this study, cements have been produced by adding obsidian, fly ash and blast furnace slag with three different fineness. These cements are prepared according to TS EN 196-1 and ASTM C1260 standards. Bending strengths and expansion amount of these cement samples produced with obsidian, fly ash and blast furnace slag were measured. The hydration heat of three different types of cement with obsidian, fly ash and blast furnace slag were determined according to TS EN 196-8 and TS EN 196-9. Cements with obsidian, fly ash and blast oven slag decreased the amount of expansion of cement, so it effects the alkaline silica reactivity by reducing it. It has been found that the hydration heat of cement decreases when the addition rate of obsidian, fly ash and blast furnace slag increases.
